IMPOSTER SYNDROME • ‘Intellectual self doubt.’

Do you reflect a belief that you are inadequate or a failure, despite evidence that indicates you are skilled or successful?

I am a perfectionist, setting excessively, high goals for myself + failing to reach them every time. I go through major self doubt + worry about measuring up. I am constantly feeling like I’m not good enough, afraid of not achieving my goals or meeting my potential.
These waves of feeling incapable of anything, come + go frequently.

I rarely feel satisfied when I have accomplished something, because I always think I could of done it better. Usually this negative thought process holds me back, stopping me from progressing. None of this is healthy or productive, but I allow my mind to take over + stop me from becoming who I’m meant to be, out of fear!

I decided to take action, massive action! Spending time working on myself is helping me understand the importance of facing your fears! “Potential exists on the other side of fear.” There will never be a ‘Perfect time’ to start. I’m no longer allowing fear to get in the way of my happiness. I am choosing to put myself + my needs first! It’s time to take risks, go through the feels + keep pushing forwards. Our minds will always try to retreat back to our comfort zone, where everything is easy + safe but we need to take control + stare fear in the face!

I’m learning the importance of pushing yourself before you are ready + accepting that your work will never be 💯%. I am changing my patterns of behaviour + it feels so damn good! #workingonme
